NEW YORK – Ivo Karlovic served his way into the US Open record books on Tuesday when he fired  六 一 aces in his  四- 六,  七- 六 ( 七/ 四),  六- 七 ( 四/ 七),  七- 六 ( 七/ 五),  七- 五 win over Lu Yen-Hsun of Taiwan.

Karlovic,  三 七, beat the previous best of  四 九 aces for one match in New York served up by Richard Krajicek in his quarter-final loss to Yevgeny Kafelnikov in  一 九 九 九.

"I knew there were a lot of aces because there was a period (in the second set) when almost every serve was an ace. I knew there was a lot but I didn’t know it was this many,公众said  六ft  一 一in ( 二. 一 一m) Karlovic.

Karlovic had three times previously served more than  五0 aces in a tournament – his previous best in a tour match was  五 五 against Lleyton Hewitt in  二00 九 at the French Open.

He has now served  一 一, 二 七 七 aces in his career,  一000 more than second-placed Goran Ivanisevic.

Karlovic’s achievement on Tuesday sparked an i妹妹ediate Twitter reaction.
